Admissions Checklist and Dates

Kindergarten

• Age 5 by September 1 of kindergarten year.
• Schedule and attend an Open House visit.
• Submit a completed application.
• Kindergarten observations consist of a half day session during a regular school day. These are scheduled in conjunction with or separate from the Open House visit.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with adults and fellow classmates.
• Child’s current school records. Requests for student records are included in the application materials section of the website. Parents take forms to the current school, and records are sent to TCA.
• Observation and screening are discussed in a follow up meeting after the Open House visit, observation, and completion of application materials.
• Decision letters will be mailed by March 26, 2010.
• A wait list is maintained until September.

First through Six Grade

• Schedule and attend an Open House visit.
• Submit a completed application.
• First through Sixth grade observations consist of a full day session during a regular school day. These are scheduled in conjunction with or separate from the Open House visit.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with adults and fellow classmates.
• A Teacher Recommendation Form, found in the application materials section of the website, to be completed by the child’s current classroom teacher.
• A copy of the child’s current school records must be included in the application packet. Requests for student records are included in the application materials section of the website. Parents take forms to the current school, and records are sent to TCA.
• Observation and screening are discussed in a follow up meeting after the Open House visit, observation, and completion of application materials.
• Decision letters will be mailed by March 26, 2010.
